White Sox Catcher Korey Lee Takes Seat Sunday

Lee to Start at Catcher For First Time This Season

White Sox fans will see something new behind the plate on Sunday when Korey Lee makes his first start of the season at catcher. The 24-year-old has been impressive in limited action this year, batting .333 with a .385 on-base percentage and .500 slugging percentage.

Lee's start comes at a time when the White Sox are struggling offensively. The team is averaging just 3.3 runs per game in June, and they're 14th in the American League in OPS.

Lee's bat could provide a boost to the White Sox lineup, but he'll also need to be solid defensively. He's struggled with passed balls in the past, but he's worked hard to improve that aspect of his game.

Pitching Matchup

Lee will be catching Lucas Giolito on Sunday. Giolito has been one of the best pitchers in the American League this season, with a 3.15 ERA and 10.2 strikeouts per nine innings.

The White Sox will need Giolito to have another strong outing if they want to win on Sunday. The team is just 2-8 in their last 10 games and needs to start turning things around.
