Joe Bonsall, the celebrated tenor of the legendary country and gospel quartet the Oak Ridge Boys, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 76. Bonsall dedicated more than 50 years of his life to music, captivating audiences with his soaring vocals and unforgettable stage presence.

A Health Battle

In January, Bonsall announced his departure from the Oak Ridge Boys due to a neuromuscular disorder. The illness, known as Lou Gehrig's disease, gradually weakened his muscles and made it difficult for him to perform. Despite the challenges, Bonsall continued to sing with the group until his final days.
