Brighton Hove Albion Coach Roberto De Zerbi to Depart After Final Match

Brighton Hove Albion coach Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club after their final match of the season, the club announced on Thursday.

De Zerbi joined Brighton in September 2022, replacing Graham Potter, and made an immediate impact, leading the team to the last 16 of the Europa League and a respectable 10th place finish in the Premier League.

However, despite Brighton's success under De Zerbi, the Italian coach has decided to move on at the end of the season.

"I have had a wonderful time at Brighton and I am very grateful to the club for the opportunity to manage such a talented team," De Zerbi said in a statement. "However, I feel that the time is right for me to move on and seek a new challenge."

Brighton will now begin the search for a new coach to lead the team into the 2023/24 season.
